First Thursday - French Artist Peintre Kaki

  • B'acino 54-56 Scrutton Street London, England, EC2A 4PH United Kingdom (map)

On the first Thursday of every month, over 150 galleries in east London come together and run free events, exhibitions, talks and private views for First Thursday, during a special late opening.

For the occasion, we decided to create a special event to showcase Kaki's beautiful canvases. Starting from Thursday 3rd August, come down to B'acino every Thursday and sip on some fine wines while Romain – Kaki's cousin – explains the story behind her meaningful and full of hope canvases.

Kaki is a self-taught artist painter. Her paintings are the fragments of her deep self, the expression of her life, her love affairs, her struggles and her fight against cancer. The strong colours she always uses echo those emotions (find more information about Kaki on our blog here).

What we adore the most about Kaki is her expression of the notion of love. To her "it is important to say I love you; we must not forget to say it, we have only one life and love is what fuels it".

That's why we couldn't be prouder to curate and sell 10 of Kaki's most beautiful paintings. After all, we are a little grape kiss that loves to love!
