Daniele Girolami, the export manager of Poggio le Volpi, will be unveiling for the very first time in the UK the winery’s new Roma DOC at B’acino on Thursday 12th October at 6:30pm.
This is your chance to discover this outstanding wine from the Lazio region, along with three other delectable wines from the same estate, before anyone else does.
As always, our brilliant chef Mirko will pair each wine with culinary specialties from the same region.
Be prepared for another unmissable wine tasting at B’acino.
POGGIO LE VOLPI’S BRIEF DESCRIPTION
“If I look backwards, I see hard-working hands, my grandfather’s tales, my father’s secrets. If I look at today, I see a successful, dynamic and modern family company, able to look to the future with full respect for tradition.” Felice Mergè
Following the legacy of his father Armando, Felice Mergè brought forward his inner love for winemaking and family values when he started the Poggio le Volpi estate in Monte Porzio Catone in 1996.
Thanks to his inspiration and fantasy in wine production, Poggio le Volpi quickly became makers of some of the most interesting wines in Lazio.
The philosophy of Poggio le Volpi is to give the land’s ‘ampelography’ – the field of botany concerned with the identification and classification of grape vines – centre stage by combining traditional values with his passion for innovation and winemaking experimentation.
